A service announcement from St Peter’s.
Welcome to our website. Please read this message from St Peter’s Executive Team.
The changing face of Covid 19 means that we have become very adept and flexible in responding to our communities needs.
We at St Peter’s are obviously paying close attention to all government, QLD Health and Diocesan advice, directives and mandates, but our considerations do not stop there. Our broader response asks our congregations, to weigh up local considerations and seek to minimise risk factors wherever possible, especially if you feel this is necessary.
The general advice is still, that if you are unwell stay home. If you feel you may have contracted Covid 19, use a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or offer at a testing site for a PCR test to confirm it, and then follow the health directives given. If you are unsure or nervous about being in community at this time and aiming to mitigate risk, and you feel it would be better to stay home for the time being, then by all means, stay home and away from public gatherings which might also include church.
We are NOT telling you what to do. We do not have a current vaccine mandate or any rules on who can attend worship on any given day. We respect your rights and your ability to make your own decisions about church, social settings and onsite meetings. But we do not want *anyone* to feel pressured into joining in, or participating in social gatherings including worship, when at a personal level you/they would prefer to stay home-based. If anything, err on the side of caution. Our services are still online. We are live streamed every Sunday from 8am. This service is then available to either watch at a later time or watch again.
Please reach out to us if you need to. Wishing you Grace and Peace in special measure as we continue into 2023!
Peace and God’s blessing from St Peter’s Executive team

Welcome to St Peter's Anglican Church, Wynnum

I’m delighted you’ve dropped by to visit our Website. We at St Peter’s Anglican Church, are a vibrant, inter-generational church which follows the Anglican tradition. We meet every Sunday at 8am. Our service is a traditional Eucharistic service in the Anglican tradition. |
"We here at St Peter’s are committed to Christ and his Gospel. We have chosen to use some of Jesus’ own metaphor and images to teach Jesus’ principal of loving our neighbour as ourselves. We do this by planting, growing and maturing disciples for Christ within, so that we can go out and actively spread God’s love to all whom we meet. We are situated on Brisbane’s beautiful Bayside, approx 20 min East of the CBD, right in the heart of Wynnum, and we’re only one block back from Moreton Bay. Most people who visit us agree that we are a friendly, inclusive, welcoming of all people, regardless of age, gender, or background; a church in the Anglican tradition and we would love to meet you; you and/or your family are most welcome here.
COVID 19. From April 2022. There are currently no density restrictions because of Covid 19. However, we do ask that if you are unwell and you suspect that may have Covid 19 that you not visit our site until you are well. You are not required to ‘log in’ register or use the Qld check in app any longer.
If for whatever reason you are unwilling or unable to attend face to face worship, and would like to join us online instead, please access this here; Church Online or by going directly to our YouTube channel, https://youtube.com/c/StPetersWynnum .
Lastly DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO MIGHT NEED PASTORAL CARE: please don't hesitate to call, send an email, or reach out to our pastoral care team, either on this platform, messenger or Facebook, or via email or the office phone; we are here for you. Jesus says ‘the first and greatest commandment is to love God with heart, mind, strength and soul, and the second is to love neighbour as self’ Please pray for our parish, its leaders and all who call St Peter’s home. We are attempting to make the best decisions for everyone here and we are, with God, discerning a new vision of the Kingdom of God in this place.
Shalom, (God’s deep abiding Peace)
